I was under the impression that I'd be able to get around to clearing my messages and whatnot on dA after clearing the academic year - incidentally I got my provisional grades and I passed the year very comfortably according to them.

Anyway, I'm gonna start posting some scribbles I made in the past couple of months at some stage as well as try and get one outstanding image out of the way, however I'm a little pressed for time. Kinda out of the blue I got the opportunity to design a website for a Hong-Kong based electronics and OEM/ODM company - it's not gonna be anything flashy or artistic as we (the programmer and I) are going for the corporate look. It's pretty fun, I could definitely get into web-dev.

With any luck, I'll be about to look at art and junk - though no promises on that

Alright, so it's the home-stretch as far as the first year goes. Suffice to say that I'm still extremely busy - though after two weeks I will be able to get back to dA as well as two images and one project that I'm in the middle of. Hopefully the drawing-depravation won't have damaged my consistency too much. So, I endure these two weeks and I'm free until the middle of September

On a slightly related note - it looks like I've secured a spot to go and study in China for a month provided I get into the second year. It's pretty exciting, very much looking forward to that but the condition of passing this year is quite steep. So, I'm gonna work intesively until the end of this term and do as much as I can to make sure I'm definitely on the second year

I'm gonna need a lot of luck to get through
Until next time

--

I'll be back any time now, which is nice - finally able to tackle that mountain of messages and deviations again...just when I was almost done.

This time, I'm not gonna give up half way through. With any luck, I'll comment on everybody's work

Fragility of Promise

I did not expect it to be over so soon, but effect of this event lingers - resounding deep down. It has been a very slow ten days, prolonged by the lack of sleep that I underwent in order to try and set things straight. Unfortunately, I could not manage to do anything in time so we have to just carry on - having accomplished nothing

For now, I would like to thank you for being so kind to me despite me making a habit of off-loading my troubles to everyone else. I truly appreciated that

Talking Anime

It's night right now, at the time that I write this. I figured that it's about time to update the journal

Recently, I've been slacking off a little and watching anime, mainly things by Key Visuals and Kyoto Animation in collaboration. It must have been 2007 when the TV version of Clannad was released, I was a little late to it but soon caught up and have followed the sequel Clannad After Story to it's current point, leading me to watch Air TV and Kanon (2006) and I have to say that I've enjoyed them all very much.

It's surprising how often I've been berated for mentioning these series, but I find that the characters are good with little pretention and fit well into the wholesome storylines. Not to mention the likes of the voice cast over the three projects; Nakamura Yuichi, Sugita Tomokazu, Sakaguchi Daisuke, Horie Yui. I was already a fan of Sugita and Sakaguchi their roles in Gintama, of which I'm also a big fan - but now I put Nakamura Yuichi way up there, his work as Tomoya in Clannad is great and also Moritsugu from Kurogane no Linebarrels

From people I know, it's like there's some stigma about enjoying this genre for some reason; maybe they don't appreciate anything outside of their own genre preferences. Regardless, I will always recommend Clannad, Clannad After Story, Kanon(2006) and Air TV

I'm itching to fan-art for them, but I've decided to cut back on the whole fan-art of main-stream thing
