I was told to do this Meme by ~wenruki, whic I was happy to use as an opportunity to learn how to draw with my tablet. Colouring is fine, but my lines are real bad

So, I decided to spend a day with Kirabayshi Akemi, which could have gone better. I wish I was making some of the stuff that appears in this meme up, but unfortunately things like this tend to happen to me (discounting attempted sepuku) in real life. Anyway, I wanted to try drawing Ryo, Hikaru and Rika too so they show up too, despite this being primarily about Akemi

I didn't tag anyone, but things like this are always good practice. The original's here:

Thank you, I'm still not entirely comfortable with my tablet, but I figured that I need to get better with line-art as I want to take the two pieces I'm working on right now more seriously

Just out of curiousity, how do you go about doing your digital line work?

I use Adobe Photoshop for line art and colouring. I have used PaintSai for line art as well.

I see, so do you use the pen tool? Or just draw it straight in with a mouse/tablet?

Also did you develop the technique yourself?

I use the pen tool on Photoshop and PaintSai.

I did not develop it myself. ~Yokai-Kiki showed me how to use Photoshop for line art and colouring and ~PnKDnCR introduced me to PaintSai for line art, but I don't use it now because I no longer have the program.

I get you - I'm trying to get back into line-art and seeing which techniques people are using. I started out with the pen tool, too - only I was self-taught

I did a little looking around and as long as you're comfortable with presets in photoshop, this is a pretty handy tutorial
