This is what I painted for my exam, and image of some locks in a neighbouring town, it took only 11 hours and 45 minutes. Again the canvas was pretty big, kinda 2m x 1m - like Module 5's Final Response and painted in a similar way except this time with no collaged surface.

That's true, though I don't remember the actual canvas being cramped to that extent. I think it's emphasized because I shot the picture at a weird angle
Mid century modern usually refers to design in architecture or furniture from 1945 to about 1965. That was the fist thing I thought of when I looked at it. ^^
... Uhm, yeah. Although now that I look at it again, it doesn't really look like a ladder. More like a cupboard.. or a fallen flight of stairs... Ahaha, my eyes fail me. -__-
By the way, your comments say they're locks. Should it have been blocks? o_O
